About RecoveryScored

Recovery and biohacking gear is sold on testimonials, affiliate codes, and inflated specs. RecoveryScored is the opposite: a deterministic scorer that judges devices on what can be measured, starting with red light therapy panels and the number brands stretch most - irradiance at a real treatment distance.

What makes us different

• Deterministic scoring. Every point maps to a visible rule and input. See the methodology.
• Irradiance needs a distance. A mW/cm² number with no stated distance is not a usable spec, and we score it that way.
• Registered is not cleared. We credit a real FDA 510(k) and flag "FDA registered" marketing.
• No influencer payouts. We do not take brand money to raise a score.

How we make money

We earn affiliate commissions on some links. They never influence a score, which is computed by an engine from measured specs. See our editorial standards.

Confidence and scope

Four categories are live, each with its own rubric: red light panels, cold plunges, infrared saunas, and PEMF devices. Specs and prices are sourced from manufacturers, retailers, and independent testers; each scorecard carries a confidence label (Verified or Partial), and where an item has been reconfirmed against a primary source it reads Verified. Our own instrument measurements are the next step (see measured vs claimed). This site is informational and not medical advice.
