Measured vs claimed

The gap between what a brand prints and what an instrument reads is the whole point of this site. This page collects every figure we can set against a marketed claim: red light irradiance at a 6-inch distance, sauna EMF at the seated body position, and PEMF field at a usable distance. Figures taggedindependentcome from named third-party testers; figures taggedour meterare our own readings. Phase B is taking more of the latter - see the methodology.

Red light: irradiance at 6 inches

Brands headline a big mW/cm2 number, often measured at the panel surface or with no distance stated. The honest figure is at a 6-inch treatment distance, and it is frequently far lower. These panels have an at-distance measurement on record.

  • Hooga PRO300independent
    Claimed: 109 mW/cm2 at 6 in
    Measured: 50 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The 6 in reading is about 54% below the marketed figure.

  • Claimed: 200 mW/cm2 (no distance stated)
    Measured: 101 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The marketed figure has no usable distance; the 6 in reading is about 50% lower.

  • Claimed: 124 mW/cm2 at 6 in
    Measured: 70 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The 6 in reading is about 44% below the marketed figure.

  • Joovv Solo 3.0independent
Claimed: 100 mW/cm2 (no distance stated)
    Measured: 59 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The marketed figure has no usable distance; the 6 in reading is about 41% lower.

  • Claimed: 135 mW/cm2 at 6 in
    Measured: 90 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The 6 in reading is about 33% below the marketed figure.

  • Claimed: 100 mW/cm2 (no distance stated)
    Measured: 76 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The marketed figure has no usable distance; the 6 in reading is about 24% lower.

  • GembaRed Rebootindependent
    Claimed: 44 mW/cm2 at 6 in
    Measured: 44 mW/cm2 at 6 in

The 6 in reading is in line with the marketed figure.

Sauna: EMF at the seat

A low-EMF claim only counts as a milligauss figure measured where you sit. These units have a figure verified at the seated body position. The rest market a number from the heater, an unsourced figure, or a bare label, and stay capped until measured at the seat.

  • Claimed: 2.1 mG (brand)
Measured: 2.1 mG at the seat

Verified at the body position by a named third party.

Source: Independent reviewers measured about 2.1 mG at chest level during a full-temperature session.

  • Claimed: 0.8 mG (brand)
Measured: 0.8 mG at the seat

Verified at the body position by a named third party.

Source: Independently tested below 0.8 mG at all positions; the only brand marketing that it cancels both EMF and ELF.

  • Claimed: 0.8 mG (brand)
Measured: 0.8 mG at the seat

Verified at the body position by a named third party.

Source: Independently tested below 0.8 mG at all positions, the strongest published EMF posture in the catalog.

13 units await a seated-position figure (our Phase B EMF meter, starting with the Sunlighten position dispute).

PEMF: field at a usable distance

PEMF devices lead with a momentary peak in gauss, often read at the coil surface. The figure that matters is the field at a usable distance, captured with a peak-hold gaussmeter.

No PEMF field readings yet. This section fills in once our Phase B gaussmeter measurements land; the engine already credits a measured-at-distance figure over any peak headline.

13 devices await an at-distance field reading.

Measured figures are reported with their instrument, distance or position, and source. Informational only, not medical advice.
