Measured vs claimed
You have seen the big number on the box. This is the page where we set it against what an instrument actually read. That gap is the whole point of this site, so here we collect every figure we can put next to a marketed claim: red light irradiance at a 6-inch distance, sauna EMF where you sit, and PEMF field at a usable distance. Three tags tell you who took the reading. A figure taggedindependentcomes from a named third-party tester with no tie to the brand; a figure taggedmanufacturer-commissioned labcomes from a named lab the manufacturer paid, so it is documented but not strictly independent; and a figure taggedour meteris our own reading. We are taking more of the latter as Phase B rolls on - see the methodology.
Red light: irradiance at 6 inches
The headline mW/cm2 number is usually read with the meter against the panel surface, or with no distance stated at all. The figure that decides your session is the one read at a 6-inch treatment distance, where you would actually sit, and it is often far lower. The panels below have that at-distance measurement on record.
- Rouge Ultimate G3independentClaimed: 200 mW/cm2 (no distance stated)Measured: 79 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The marketed figure has no usable distance; the 6 in reading is about 61% lower.
- PlatinumLED BIOMAX 300independentClaimed: 124 mW/cm2 at 6 inMeasured: 70 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The 6 in reading is about 44% below the marketed figure.

- Joovv Solo 3.0independentClaimed: 100 mW/cm2 (no distance stated)Measured: 59 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The marketed figure has no usable distance; the 6 in reading is about 41% lower.

- PlatinumLED BIOMAX 900independentClaimed: 135 mW/cm2 at 6 inMeasured: 90 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The 6 in reading is about 33% below the marketed figure.

- Hooga HG300independentClaimed: 73 mW/cm2 at 6 inMeasured: 55 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The 6 in reading is about 25% below the marketed figure.

- Mito Red Light MitoPRO 1500independentClaimed: 100 mW/cm2 (no distance stated)Measured: 76 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The marketed figure has no usable distance; the 6 in reading is about 24% lower.

- GembaRed RebootindependentClaimed: 44 mW/cm2 at 6 inMeasured: 44 mW/cm2 at 6 in
The 6 in reading is in line with the marketed figure.

Sauna: EMF at the seat
A "low-EMF" claim only earns credit when it is a milligauss figure read where your body sits. The units below have that figure verified at the seated body position. The rest lean on a reading taken at the heater, an unsourced number, or a bare label, and they stay capped until someone measures at the seat.
- HigherDose Infrared Sauna Blanket V4independentClaimed: 2.1 mG (brand)Measured: 2.1 mG at the seat
Verified at the body position by a named third party.
Source: Independent reviewers measured about 2.1 mG at chest level during a full-temperature session.
- Clearlight Premier IS-1manufacturer-commissioned labClaimed: 0.8 mG (brand)Measured: 0.8 mG at the seat
From a manufacturer-commissioned lab at the body position, not an independent measurement.
Source: VitaTech Electromagnetics lab report, commissioned by Clearlight (named third-party lab, but not independent), reports under 1 mG including at the seat; uncontested by any independent reading we found. The brand also markets ELF cancellation. We credit the figure as the best-evidenced in the catalog, with the provenance caveat.
- Clearlight Sanctuary 1manufacturer-commissioned labClaimed: 0.8 mG (brand)Measured: 0.8 mG at the seat
From a manufacturer-commissioned lab at the body position, not an independent measurement.
Source: VitaTech Electromagnetics lab report, commissioned by Clearlight (named third-party lab, but not independent), reports under 1 mG including at the seat, uncontested by any independent reading we found. Strongest EMF posture in the catalog, with the manufacturer-commissioned caveat.
13 units await a seated-position figure (our Phase B EMF meter, starting with the Sunlighten position dispute).
PEMF: field at a usable distance
PEMF devices lead with a momentary peak in gauss, usually read right at the coil surface. What matters for you is the field a usable distance away, captured with a peak-hold gaussmeter. That is the number we are after.
No PEMF field readings yet. This section fills in once our Phase B gaussmeter measurements land; the engine already credits a measured-at-distance figure over any peak headline.
13 devices await an at-distance field reading.
Measured figures are reported with their instrument, distance or position, and source. Informational only, not medical advice.
